It's great to have you here in the Community, @raibowdave.
As of the moment, we're unable to transfer your invoices between two accounts at one time. As a work-around, you have three options either enter the data manually to QuickBooks Online (QBO), export to Excel or used a third-party app.
Here's how to export:
Once you're done, go to your existing account and attach the transactions. Let me show you how:
For additional information on this, I recommend the following article: Attachments in QBO.

Please know that QuickBooks is always here if you need it in the future. I'd be glad to answer any additional questions should you have any. Have a great day!
This solution doesn't do what the OP asked for at all! All it does is generate a list of invoices and the total amount due, but not the actual invoice information. How do you export the actual invoices with line detail, including such things as sales tax like the OP asked?
All your options assume someone is paying for 3rd party software; they are not built-in QBO solutions. So you might want to update your post to make that clear.
Your first option doesn't appear to be available anymore; Intuit bought the company and rolled it into the most expensive QBO subscription, and it appears (2/2020) that it's no longer available as a stand-alone product for other users.
Your second, paired options are available, but your affiliate link is to desktop software not suitable for QBO. The correct link to the company is https://www.saasant.com/ Once there, the correct product can be selected from the list of products (I didn't link to the product directly because product offerings, and their links links, can change but the company link will probably stay the same).
Chronobooks is not relevent for this case anymore. You may utilize the trial period of those importer tool. You don't need to purchase anything if the trial is enough to migrate the data.
So it's not quick clear what the final verdict was here. Is there a way to export/import the actual invoice line item detail with this third party tool?
Utilize the trial period of a 3rd party migration tool as I mentioned earlier. You may migrate the Invoice data between QBO accounts.

Good luck importing them! The tools are there and export as needed....but when Quickbooks online gives you this error - what are you supposed to do? The tools are useless if the info you export refuses to import because QB doesn't support sales tax imports? Frustrating!

Which error message? Have you tried the importer tool as I mentioned earlier?
When you click on import invoices, it says this isn't something QBO supports yet. I used the importer tool and had info ready to import. It wouldn't let me get close to anywhere that allowed an attempt to upload.
If you have registered invoices without tax, you should first delete them in bulk and import new invoices data with tax. Utilize the deleter and importer tool to assist.
These invoices do not have tax on them. Not the point. If QBO won't LET you past a message that clearly says QBO does not support an import of invoices at ALL (it didn't even see the attempted import yet). I got the invoice export files with the transaction tool. It will not let me in to start.
