Can I make QB Online charge my client the 3% credit card fee instead of charging ME? My clients agree to pay it and it is listed as a service fee on my invoices.

Yes. There's a way on how we can charge the credit card fee to your client, ross-bridgetownd.

We can add the service fee as another line item on the invoice. I'll show you how:

Before doing so, we'll have to add a Service fee item.

1. From the Sales tab, select Products and Services.
2. Click New, and then select Service.
3. You can name it as Service Fee.
4. Select an Income account.
5. Click Save and close.

Afterward, you're good to add the item to the invoice.

Just a heads up, we'll have manually calculate the 3% credit card fee. Then, here's how to add it on the invoice:

1. From the + New button, select Invoice.
2. Select your customer.
3. In the first line, add the item, and the AMOUNT.
4. Select the Service Fee item on the second line.
5. Enter the service fee amount.
6. Click Save and close.

This process is incomplete. When service fee is added to the invoice manually e. g. $3,000 at 3%, equals to $90, the true service fee of 3% is not accurate since it was added before the service fee was added to the invoice. This fee should be calculated at the bottom of the invoice somewhere by the sales tax.

They have been developing the feature but don't expect for the turnaround time. For the time being, ask your clients to utilize MP to pay your invoice by credit cards. You will get paid by bank transfer or check for free.
