Can I see if a client read an invoice?

I used to be able to review outstanding invoices sent through email and see when it was viewed by the client. That feature is no longer showing. How do I get it back?

Can I see if a client read an invoice?

Hi there, prometheuslabor. I see the importance of seeing if your customer already read the invoices you've sent. Let me provide some insights that can help you access the status of your customer.

Yes, you can see if your client has read the invoice you sent. But before that, you must create an invoice and send it to the customer. Also, ensure that the PDF attached option has been put a checkmark. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Click the Sales menu.
  3. Under the Sales menu, look for the Online delivery tab.
  4. Tick PDF attached.
  5. Press Save.

If the said status won't show, you can use any private browser so your browsing session doesn't retain any history or cached files that may have caused this behavior. Here are the shortcut keys that route you to a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If the issue persists, I recommend clearing your cache and cookies. You can also use other supported web browsers for us to check if this is related to the browser issue.

Additionally, you can record invoice payments if your customer pays an invoice.

For further concern or assistance, you're always free to reply to my post so that I'll be able to help you. Stay safe.
