can QB Simple Start use S-corporaton

Thanks for subscribing to QuickBooks Online, @Dean1e. I can give you an overview of the products that best suit using the S-Corporation.

S corporation medical insurance is a noncash fringe benefit provided to shareholders owning 2% or more of the corporation.

When we need to track S-corp's medical contribution, we also need to have a QuickBooks Online Payroll subscription.

Plus, once everything is fine, here's how to create your

S-corp medical insurance item:

  1. Go to the Payroll tab. Then, go to Employees.
  2. Select your employee.
  3. From Pay types, select Start or Edit.
  4. In Additional pay types, select S-corp Owners Health Insurance.
  5. Enter an amount. Or leave it blank, then enter the amount as you run payroll.
  6. Select Save.

I'm also adding this page for a good start with your S-crop payroll items: Track S-corp medical contributions. It also includes steps to create a fringe benefits paycheck.

Should you have other concerns with QuickBooks Online companies, let me know in the comment area. Have a nice day.
