Category not printing on checks

Printing category in checks is a nice feature to add in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Kj.

At this time, the ability to include categories when printing checks in QBO is unavailable. Rest assured that the Product Development Team is continuously improving the program. They're constantly introducing updates and improvements to cater to the diverse business needs of all users.

While this isn't possible, I recommend manually adding the category details to the Memo field section for visual tracking of transactions. Here's how:

  1. Open the check you want to print.
  2. Copy the category details.
  3. Then, paste them in the Memo box.

  4. Once done, you can start printing the checks.

Furthermore, you can browse this article to help ensure your printer is set up for QuickBooks so your checks align and print out correctly: Configure your print settings for printing checks in QuickBooks Online.

I'm always ready to help if you still have other questions about creating estimates and converting them to invoices. You can reply to this thread or start a new one to let me know.

RE: Printing category in checks is a nice feature

Yes, it is. Lots of customers want to do that. That's why QuickBooks Desktop can do it, and has done so for 20 years of so.

RE: I'm here to share details about this.

Oh, I'm so excited that you're here! Details sound so fun, too!

RE: At this time, the ability to include categories when printing checks in QBO is unavailable.

Oh, not excited anymore.

RE: Rest assured that the Product Development Team is continuously improving the program.

Based on recent terrible updates, I'd argue they're not doing a very good job. Maybe they should focus on adding features customers actually want. You know, like the long list of features that are missing from QuickBooks Online that exist in QuickBooks Desktop.
