I'd be happy to help clarify your questions about changing an asset account number for an item, Glenn.
When you modify the asset number of an item, it will automatically update its history. It means that the changes made after correcting the account number of an item that was previously incorrect will reflect in all transactions involving that item. As a result, the old asset account will no longer be used.
