Hello there, @obedkiss.
I can lend a hand on how you can change your currency symbol.
In addition to what 4gal mentioned, only GHC is available in QuickBooks Desktop which represents the Ghanaian Cedi.
Now regarding changing the currency symbol, it is available through the multicurrency feature in QuickBooks Enterprise. However, once a company file is set up with a specific base currency, QuickBooks does not allow you to change that base currency.
Meanwhile, here are the steps to activate Multicurrency and change it to the GHC symbol.
- Go to the Edit menu, then choose Preferences.
- Select Multiple Currencies on the left menu.
- Choose the Company Preferences tab.
- Toggle the Yes, I use more than one currency radio button.
- Then, choose the GHC symbol from the drop-down.
- Click OK, then select OK and Yes to confirm your action.
On the other hand, if you are specifically referring to changing the currency symbol graphic (the $ sign) to the GHC symbol, that functionality is unavailable in QuickBooks Enterprise.
I'm adding this article to learn more about setting up and using multicurrency: Set up and use Multicurrency.
Please keep in touch if you need more help with your currency preferences. I'm determined to help. Wishing you a good one!
