I'd like to share some details about reclassifying transactions in QuickBooks Online, @M Alarjeh
Currently, the reclassify transaction tool is only available in QuickBooks Online Accountant and QuickBooks Online Advanced. If you're using the same version, follow these:
In QBOA:
- Access your client’s QuickBooks Online account.
- Choose the Accountant Tools, then click on Reclassify transactions.
In QBO Advanced:
- Access your QuickBooks Online company.
- Click on Settings ⚙, then hit Reclassify Transactions.
Then, in Reclassify Transactions:
- Click the Account types dropdown, and choose Profit and Loss to see income and expense accounts. Or choose Balance Sheet to see your asset, liability, and equity accounts.
- Open the Account list, and choose the account with the transactions you want to change.
- Use these types, class, customer/vendor, and modify filters to filter the list.
- Click on Find transactions.
- Choose the checkbox for each transaction you want to change.
- Select Reclassify.
- Choose a new account to move the transactions to from the Change account to dropdown, a new class from Change class to dropdown, or a new location from the Change location to dropdown.
- Once ready, click on Apply.
Feel free to review this module for more information and for the detailed steps: Reclassify or move multiple transactions at once.
If you're using the QuickBooks Online Plus version, you'll have to manually open the transactions and then change or reclassify them one at a time.
I'm also adding this reference about keeping track and handling transactions in QBO: Run and customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
