Class Assignment Report

My company just switched from QuickBooks desktop to QuickBooks online. We had a list of memorized reports that unfortunately, did not export in from desktop to online. We use these reports each month so I need to recreate them. Sadly, I don't know the base that was used for the report. I believe it's a transaction detail by account then filters applied are: Account - all income/expense accounts; Class - specific class; Date - custom. But I don't know for sure. The memorized reports were created before I started with the company and since we've always used desktop, it's never been an issue since they were already memorized.

Thank you for the help but I know how to customize a report. My Plus version did not convert my desktop memorized reports to my online system. I believe I figured it out and it was a Profit and Loss report that was then customized.

Let's go and customize your Transaction Detail by Accounts reports to include your income or expense accounts and classes.

 

First, memorize reports from QuickBooks Desktop converts once your a user under Plus subscription. You can review each of your reports from the Customize reports tab. To check if you have the memorize report from your QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Nevertheless, here's how you can pull up and customize your report:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. From the For my accountant category of your reports, select Transaction Detail by Accounts.
  3. Select Customize.
  4. Choose a Report period.
  5. Under Filter, select Account and Class.
  6. Select all your income or expense accounts from the Account drop-down menu.
  7. From the Class drop-down menu, choose one from your class list.
  8. Click Run report.

This way, you'll be able to pull up and customize your report the same as your QuickBooks Desktop memorize reports.

Lastly, you can save this customized report by clicking the Save customization button. Once saved, you can find this report in the Custom reports tab when needed.
