I have several construction company clients that I'm trying to get switched over from QB Desktop to QBO. My biggest hang-up so far has been the fact that QBO does not have a Estimates vs. Actuals report for my clients to compare their budgets/estimates to their actual expenses. I'm thinking we need to use an app for additional reports. I'm considering the Corecon app and have a phone call scheduled with them for next week, but I'm looking for some input from other accountants and QBO users about construction companies using QBO and other apps. Do you have any favorites? I'm looking for something that's not too expensive but is also fairly user-friendly for my change-resistant clients. Thanks!
While I have no dog in the hunt when I searched for "construction" on the intuit app site 16 apps tagged construction pop up. You should also check out CoConstruct and Knowify before pulling the trigger
And a tip. Once you find the one you are comfortable with see if there is a discount if you deploy all instances or if you are a ProAdvisor using QBOA.
Reading a little more, CoConstruct works with both QBO and Desktop so maybe first step for reluctant clients is the app first and QBO later if at all
