You have to register the class manually. Otherwise, consider purchasing a 3rd party conversion service and you can request to include the class tracking in QB Online as part of the conversion process.

Hi, @jamestdutton,

I'll share some information about class. You'll have to turn on the class feature to see it. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to Settings and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Select Advanced, then tap the Categories section to edit.
  3. Check Track classes.
  4. Mark Warn me when a transaction isn't assigned a class. This is optional, but it's good to turn on, so when you look at reports, you know everything got classified.
  5. Under Assign classes, select One to entire transaction or One to each row in transaction.*
  6. Click Save, then Done.

Once done, you're now ready to set up a class list. Refer to this guide for more information: Turn on class tracking in QuickBooks Online.

In case you need help with other customer-related tasks, browse this link to go to the page. It has our general customer topics with articles: Topics about your company's income and customers.

Feel free to drop-by if you have follow-up questions or concerns with class. I'll be around for you. Take care and have a good one.
