Get 50% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months*
Buy nowWe are a laboratory and receive research grants. Approximately 35 - 40 accounts are common for each grant. I simply change the numbers by a digit to distinguish between them. Can I copy these accounts somehow in bulk and change only their numbers to avoid setting up each individual account? I have QB Desktop. I believe I did this before but cannot remember how, also I can't seem to phrase my question properly to find answers on this forum.
Good afternoon, @JanJaw.
It's great to see you back in the Community. Let me give you some insight into this issue.
To ensure nothing wrong happens to your chart of accounts (like duplications, etc), doing this action manually would be the best option.
I can send in feedback to our Product Developers on your behalf, to consider improving this in the future. You can keep up with what's new in the system by using our Blog site.
I hope this helps answer your question. Don't hesitate to come back if you have any other concerns. Take care!
