Custom user role. I would like to cusotmtize a role to include projects but that choice is not available. Any ideas on how to get this done?

I set up a project manager but the projects module is not available (QB online advanced).  Is this available in a customized user role?

Adding a Project Manager's access is a great functionality, gweng-innovative.

 

As of now, the option to customize user roles to include projects is unavailable. I'd recommend sending feedback directly to our Product Development team. This helps us improve the features in the program. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear menu and then select Feedback.
  2. Type in your feature request in the description box.
  3. Once done, click on Next.

 

You can track the requests through the Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online website.

I would also like this functionality.

Can you please let me know which existing user roles have access to Projects?  I want our employee to be able to enter POs and view Projects, but NOT be able to see sensitive company information such as Payroll.

As mentioned by my colleague, the option to add user roles to a project is unavailable. I know that you want your employees to enter purchase orders and view projects without seeing sensitive information such as payroll. That said, I want you to send feedback to our product development team. The more users send feedback or suggestions, the faster the reports or functions are implemented in the program.

Thank you - I did already submit feedback about this. Also, regarding the need to customize a role that is able to both enter timesheets and POs, without seeing sensitive company information.
