Hi @andyhsr,

Thank you for reaching out! I understand how the differences in revenue totals between the Statement of Activity Detail and Transaction List by Customer reports can be confusing. Let’s break down the reasons behind these differences and explore how we can resolve them.

These reports are designed for different purposes, which is often why the numbers don’t align.

The Statement of Activity Detail provides a comprehensive view of revenue for all activities that impact income accounts. It includes all types of transactions, such as invoices, sales receipts, journal entries, refunds, and adjustments. Even those without a customer assigned.

In contrast, the Transaction List by Customer focuses specifically on customer-related transactions, most commonly invoices, sales receipts, and payments. Variances in totals between these reports are normal because of their differing purposes.

Here’s what you can do:

First, ensure that your reports use the same filters, including the date range and transaction types. Next, verify whether the reports are set to use the accrual or cash accounting method. Accrual accounting reflects revenue when invoices are created, while cash accounting shows revenue when payments are received.

You're not alone in this, and it's common for these reports to pull data differently. If you need further clarification or a deeper dive into this, feel free to share more details about how the reports are set up. My goal is to ensure you feel confident about your numbers.
