SUMMER SAVINGS 90% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months* Ends June 27
Buy nowOur company always sends statements at the beginning of the month to customers with a balance. We recently migrated from Desktop to Online and cannot figure out how to email statements that include a PDF attachment. The PDFs are so much easier for the customers to read and understand. When they pull up the email (usually on their phones), the text is not laid out well and is difficult to understand. Now when I send statements, I get responses from customers saying they don't know what the information on the statement means.
I've gotten nowhere with the AI chat bot, haven't been able to connect with a "Live Expert" from the Help menu (no such option), and got nowhere in the Sales options with our account settings. This is ridiculous and so very basic.
It is embarrassing that we cannot provide something to our customers with a neat and tidy appearance, and that QB Online cannot give straightforward, live assistance to its own customers (us).
Including a PDF attachment with customer statements allows recipients to seamlessly review their account activity in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Kinsm. I'll offer a workaround and guide you in submitting a feature request to our developers.
Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't have the option to attach PDFs to customer statements. Instead, you can download your customer statements and manually send them outside QuickBooks.
Here's how:
We recognize how this option can help you seamlessly. I recommend sending feedback to our product engineers. It could lead to a feature enhancement, making the process more streamlined for you and other users in the future.

Thank you for the quick response. This is certainly a workaround; however, it is anything BUT seamless. It is unnecessarily cumbersome, time-consuming, and not user-friendly at all. Our company needs to send statements in batches, directly from Quickbooks, using PDFs that are customized to be readable and understandable for any customer. The body of the email should be easy to understand on a mobile device as well.
I will definitely be reaching out via the link you sent to ask for a new feature. It is disappointing to see that only a "workaround" is available in place of what should be a basic feature that's included in all Quickbooks packages. It makes no sense to manually download multiple statements every single month and then send them out one by one to each customer.
QuickBooks Online is just a shadow of QuickBooks Desktop. You will likely find many such limitations - and spend (waste) much more time doing your books with Online than Desktop.
