Thank you for providing details about your concern, @BCI2002. I'd be glad to assist you.

QuickBooks Desktop for Mac releases updates to improve the program functionality. You'll need to make sure the system is updated to its latest release. After that, you can start uninstalling and reinstalling the program to isolate the issue.

Another option is, you can can run the Verify and Rebuild tool to help fix the issue.

Here's how to verify data:

  1. Go to the File menu, and choose Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data, then tap OK to close all windows. If you see “Your data has failed the integrity check”, you'll need to rebuild your file. If there are no problems with your data, you’re done.

If there are problems with your company file, you'll have to rebuild it.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Files, then select Utilities.
  2. Choose Rebuild Data, and then click OK.
  3. Tap OK to make a backup to prevent data loss along the process.
  4. Hit OK to continue the rebuild process.

If you need more insights about the verify and rebuild process, you cab check out this article: Verify and Rebuild data

I'll be here if you need anything else. Take care always!

Sadly, I have done those things and it did not help. I have a case # and Intuit is having to take my backup and see what may have gone wrong. I was just curious if others have had issues since upgrading to the 2022 version of QB desktop for Mac.

I don't want you to feel this way, @BCI2002. I appreciated you for giving us an update about the data issues you've encountered on QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac. I can assure you that our support team is doing its best to help you get back on track.

For now, I can share an additional workaround that can fix it. You can clean install the QBDT Mac application on your computer to ensure that the updates have been correctly installed.

If you have your backup handy, you can begin the process. If not, I recommend getting a backup file first.

Once you have the backup file, you can start uninstalling and reinstalling the program.  Here's how:

  1. Close/Exit QB and click the Finder menu on your desktop, then Go.
  2. Select Applications, then drag the QB icon to the Trash.

Then, remove QuickBooks PLIST files to revert all preferences to their default settings. Here's how:

  1. Go back to the Finder menu, then Go.
  2. Hold the Option key, then select Library.
  3. Open the Preferences folder, then find the PLIST files with QB and your version in the name, then drag them to the Trash.
  4. Empty the Trash.

After that, restart your computer, and reinstall QBDT. Check out this article for further guidance: Install and set up QuickBooks Mac Desktop.

To know more about the process, I'm also including this article: Reinstalling QuickBooks for Mac using clean install.

I also suggest to getting some updates with the support team about the data you've submitted. They might have finished the assessment with your data file.

I'll be around if you have any questions with the process, Please let me know how everything goes in the comment. Take care always.

Thanks, this looks helpful. I'll check in with the support team and see what they have found out. I was wondering if I should reinstall it. There has been a couple of other weird glitches from the start of installing 2022, so maybe this will take care of it. Thanks.

Yes. Upgraded from QB Mac 2019 to Mac 2022 in April and has been a nightmare. Most issues affecting payments and merchant services. Have spent over 30 hours on the phone with Mac support and Mech Services while screen sharing, chats and still not resolved. Each department thinks it's the other departments issue. Getting to the point that nobody wants to take my calls anymore, lol. Data Services had my company file for 10 days and still have problems with "fixed" company file. I have the latest version of QB, all updates installed and my operating system is up to date. I'm a legacy QB and Merch Services user from 2010 and have several Intuit accounts for different products. I honestly think the problems I am having are related to having to log into an intuit account in 2022-my QB products are logged into differently than my Merch Services products. Getting ready to do an uninstall/reinstall. If that doesn't fix my issues I don't know what I will do next.

@KMacc

You might consider asking a third-party service to review the file and fix it. You don't need to wait for days.

The file has been fixed by Intuit Data Services-they say they had to rebuild an admin user account. The fixed file has new problems related to performing functions with Merchant Services. Every time I try to record merchant services deposits, QB shuts down and crash catcher appears. Crash catcher won't even create an email with the crash report to send to Intuit.

You should contact the Data Service team again to fix your file. Otherwise, consider asking a 3rd party service to do so.
