When viewing a customer in the Customer Center | Customer Information screen, if you click on "Open Balance" to get a report, the design of that report is wrong / misleading.
The far right (last) column is "Amount" which lists the customer transactions that result in the Open Balance. Unfortunately, the "Open Balance" column is the column just preceding the Amount column. The order of these two columns is backwards, and misleading to customers who assume (from habit of looking at reports designed correctly!) that the last column is the balance remaining on the account.
I know ... I can re-order the columns to show it correctly. I know this ... but we shouldn't have to re-order something like this each time we print it or send it to a customer. The people designing these reports should know what the #%&@ they are doing, and they would if they worked for a while in the real world. How about suggesting that Intuit / QuickBooks make the designers work in the accounting department for a year before they are allowed to work in designing a report or merging an accounting process into some screens and reports?
I did submit Feedback to QB to re-order the columns on the standard report, so QB Team, please don't suggest that to me.

It’s helpful to have reports that meet your expectations, especially when reviewing transactions, @Deadwood Al.
A well-structured report ensures that all the essential information is presented clearly and logically, minimizing the risk of misunderstandings during transaction reviews. I can see how important this is to your business workflow and your experience with QuickBooks matters to us.
Thank you for sharing your feedback about the design of the Open Balance report column and for passing your suggestions along to our engineers. Your insights on the column order are valuable and could enhance the experience for others as well.
In the meantime, you can manually adjust the columns to display the data in the correct sequence when running the Open Balance report.
Additionally, QuickBooks Desktop lets you customize any report you generate, allowing you to tailor the data presentation to suit your business needs.
If you need any further assistance or have additional questions, please let me know. I’m here to help however I can.
@ReymondO "A well-structured report ensures that all the essential information is presented clearly and logically, minimizing the risk of misunderstandings during transaction reviews."
I wonder if you have any conception of how condescending this sentences comes across as.
"In the meantime, you can manually adjust the columns to display the data in the correct sequence when running the Open Balance report."
@Deadwood Al literally wrote "I know ... I can re-order the columns to show it correctly. I know this ... but we shouldn't have to re-order something like this each time we print it or send it to a customer."
Have you tried this new thing? It's called reading what you're replying to, you absolute dork.
"It’s helpful to have reports that meet your expectations, especially when reviewing transactions, @Deadwood Al."
I have never felt so much empathy for the people who complain about mansplaining in my life. Who writes this garbage?

Sorry about "test" ... I've been unable to respond to anything for a few days and was working with Destiny at support and she had me try a few things, and it finally worked.
