Detailed Cash Flow Forecast Report

Hi All,

I use QB 2019 for Mac. Novice bookkeeper. I'm trying to create a Cash Flow Report. Right now I can get the weekly report but then I have to click on the Acct. Receivable amount in the chosen week in order to get the detail, which of course is what my boss wants. Since the MAC version is slightly different none of the online tutorials helped me. Any input would be great.

Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to us, @Cori Aurora.

For now, the available guides we can offer for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac are the list that was shared above.

Although, I can provide you an alternative workaround on how to project your cash flow for a specific time period in QuickBooks. Simply follow these steps.

  1. Create a report that shows sales you expect to receive in the four weeks or other time period. This could be a sales report based on current sales activity or an Account Receivable Aging report.
  2. Export that to Excel.
  3. Create another report showing payments you expect to pay during that time with an AP report or expense report based on recent expenses. Then, export that again to Excel.
  4. Within Excel, match the time periods so you can see expected received payments and expected outgoing payments.
  5. Add those to see if your cash flow during that time period is positive or negative.

Additionally, you can reach out to our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can provide you another options on how to create the Detailed Cash Flow Forecast report.

Here's how you can reach out to them:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
  2. Select QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
  3. Select a topic.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom section and click Start a Message.

I'm also including our Help articles for related references in managing your account and transactions.

Just tag my name in the comment section if you have any other concerns or questions. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Stay safe.

Thanks for the help. No suggestions actually worked it took me calling and paying $75 for support to share my screen and what I needed was taken care of in less than one minute.

All I needed to do was switch a dropdown to YEAR instead of WEEK in the report. Hopefully my $75 will help someone else in the future.
