I can recommend one inventory management app with UoM feature and it starts from $39 per month for 2 users. It allows to create any name of the desired unit of measure to meet your requirements. Contact me in private for details.
Hello Kevin,
I read your post regarding UOM. Can you please share the name of the third party app mentioned in your last thread?
Did you ever get the name of the 3rd party app that adds units of measure to QB online?
what units of measurement do you need?
Many.
box, case, each, bag, pallet, bar, lb, gallon, pint, quart ect ect ect
No one seems to know of a 3rd party app that adds units of measure to QB online. I went to app page and searched unit of measure and I got one result and it says nothing about units of measure.
What 3rd party app adds customizable (as in we get to name them) units of measure to QN Online?
We appreciate you for coming back, YBASSETT.
We are unable to recommend a specific third-party app that is designed specifically to add customizable units of measure directly into QuickBooks Online (QBO). A good alternative could be to use a complete inventory or business management systems that work well with QBO and offers flexible handling of units of measure. You can check for supported apps through this link: QuickBooks Apps Store or from the Apps menu. Here's how:
Integrating a third-party app with your software can expand its functionality and customize it to better suit your business needs. Always verify that any third-party apps are reliable and secure before linking them to your accounting system.

It seems like a 3rd party app is required to do several basic functions ie different units of measure, creating discount terms for vendors and customers and showing margin, just to name a few. I am seriously questioning the choice of one of our stores to go with QB online vs QB enterprise desktop. Sure online is cheaper but not once you add in the costs of the various add ons required to make it function close to the way Enterprise desktop does. Very disappointing and not explained at the time of purchase.
