Normally, you should be able to search for old invoices, modify and send them as a PDF. Given that you are having a hard time with this, we can proceed with troubleshooting steps to address this issue.
There are instances when your phone is full of commonly used page resources, which results in errors or odd behavior. We can uninstall and reinstall the app to resolve this issue.
In the meantime, you can log in to your QBSE account view all your past invoices, and manage your invoices through the web browser as a workaround.

Thank you but there is no Help & Feedback option with the Self Employed version so unfortunately this does not help. Thanks for trying though.

Yes, you're right. The QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) application does not have a Help & Feedback option. My colleague has already revised her previous response accordingly. To fix this, it is recommended to uninstall and then reinstall the QBSE application.
If the issue persists, I suggest accessing your account via a web browser and checking if the old invoices are visible. If they are not, let's attempt accessing your account through an incognito window to eliminate the possibility of a webpage-related problem.
If it works, clear the browser's cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific issue.
