The Statement of Activity Report Detail organizes accounts in alphabetical order by default, Joanne.

You can use the Sort filters to arrange the information by your preferred column and order. From the Sort option, you can choose to display the data in either ascending or descending order.

If all the filters are set correctly and the report still prints in a different order, I recommend clearing your browser's cache and the Intuit-specific cookies, as corrupted data can lead to this unusual behavior. You might also consider using a different supported browser.

You can save the changes you've made to your report. This way, the next time you open it, you won't have to redo those changes.

If you have further questions or need clarifications, please let us know.

The statement of activity detail is not printing in alphabetical order for us. It is printing in some random order. I spent a half hour on line with support looking at my screen and they could not figure it out. And, there are no column sort options available on the detail report.

The support person indicated that there was a release a month ago and that may be causing the problem.

I understand how important it is for your reports to be organized in a way that enhances clarity and usability, Joanne. Let’s troubleshoot and explore alternative reporting views to sort your Statement of Activity Detail report.

To better assist you, could you please provide a screenshot of your report along with your current reporting view? This will help me understand your specific situation and offer more tailored guidance.

In the modern view, the ability to sequence accounts exclusively in alphabetical order for the Statement of Activity Detail report is currently unavailable. With this, I encourage sharing your thoughts with us. Your feedback is essential as we continuously strive to enhance the reporting experience.

  1. Select the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Fill in your suggestions in the Feedback field.
  3. Select Next to send it.

On another note, if you have the option to Switch to classic view, I recommend doing so to take advantage of the enhanced sorting options available such as NameNumberClass, and other criteria in ascending or descending order. Here's a screenshot for visual reference:

However, if the Sort option is still not visible in this view, let's clear your browser's cache for a fresh start. Alternatively, switching to other supported browsers is worth a shot.

You can also save the current report settings so you won’t have to go through the customization process again if you need the same information in the future.
