Hi there, Sweetpea. I have all the information you need about the daily calendar of making and tracking appointments in QBO.
As of now, QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't have a built-in calendar for tracking appointments and notes. The closest workaround that I can think of is setting up a
custom workflow for reminders and notification. Take note that this only available in
QBO Advanced. Here's how:
- Go to the Workflows automation menu.
- Select the Templates tab, then click + Custom workflow.
- Select the transaction type and action that you'd like QuickBooks to do.
- Hit Next and enter a name for the template.
- Select the actions QuickBooks will take when the conditions are met and tick the checkboxes to tell the program how to send the reminder.
- When you're done, select Save and turn on.
For the other version, you can consider creating a
recurring reminder template. Alternatively, you can use a third-party app with a daily calendar to create and track your appointments and add notes. Follow these steps to find one:
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online.
- On the left side panel, click Apps.
- On the search bar, search the app you want to use.
- Hit the Get app now.
For processing payments, I recommend using QuickBooks Payments. This feature will receive your customer's payments and will automatically be downloaded to the For Review tab in your bank transactions for you to categorize.
Moreover, I'd like to share this article on processing customer payment refunds: Void or refund customer payments in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you still have questions about your preferences on QBO. Have a great day ahead, and take care always.
