Does QBO Bill pay send secure setup invitations to vendors like Bills.com did?

Nice to see you here in the QuickBooks Community! That is a good question! You would need to enter that information manually in Online Bill Pay.  Here are some instructions on how to set that up:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company file.
2. Choose Get paid & pay, then Bills.
3. Enter a new bill or select an existing unpaid bill.
4. Hit Schedule Payment or Save and Schedule Payment depending on what type of bill you’re reviewing: 
5. For an unpaid bill, schedule directly from Expenses, Vendors, or Bills.
6. Choose which bank account you want to use as your funding source and withdraw funds from. 
7. In the Payment account in QuickBooks dropdown, select the corresponding account from your QuickBooks chart of accounts to sync your payment information accurately or  select + Add new to create a new account in QuickBooks to track your bill payment information.
8. Select which payment method your payee prefers and complete the required fields.
9. For Withdrawal date, pick the date when you want the funds to withdraw from your bank account.
10. Review the payment instructions, then if everything looks correct, select Schedule payment.

The BillPay doesn't provide such feature. Consider to signup for a separate Melio account for free to integrate with QBO. When you start scheduling a payment, the app will asked how your vendor would like to receive payment, then you can select "Ask vendor for payment details". Prepare your vendor’s email address to proceed.
