QuickBooks does not automatically gather bank account information from contractors for direct deposits. As the employer or business owner, you are responsible for collecting the necessary bank account information from your contractors if you intend to set up direct deposit payments for them.
When setting up direct deposit for contractors in QuickBooks, you will need to obtain their bank account details, such as the account number and routing number, and input this information into QuickBooks to facilitate direct deposit payments to the contractors.
Furthermore, you'll need to have a company bank account connected to use direct deposit. If you haven't done so, set up your company payroll for direct deposit your contractor's direct deposit info.
