I sell through my website and also on eBay. When an eBay sale is done it comes into Quickbooks as a split transaction, eBay Sales of Product Income, and eBay fees. However I am unsure how I need to count the deposit eBay puts into my checking account for that sale. I dont want to count it as sales so that is doubled. What category should I use for this? The same with PayPal. When a customer purchases on my site and pays with PayPal that comes in as a PayPal Sales of Product Income and PayPal fees - I do not know how to categorize the deposits I then get from PayPal into my checking account. Can anyone help with this?
