Edit existing invoices to QuickBooks Online Projects

The invoice statuses may be open, and the payments received are still unapplied, @Jestinna.

With this, the payments that will reflect as the revenue won't show in the project's Overview since these are still unapplied to the invoice. You'll want to check the invoice and payment status from the Project's Transactions tab. Usually, the payments will show as zero (0) and the status as Closed or with an amount but Unapplied but not applied to an invoice. Meanwhile, the invoices show that the system still wants you to receive them by clicking the Receive payment from the Action column.

On the other hand, I appreciate that you've followed the article to add the existing invoice to a project. In this case, we can fix this by opening the payment transaction from the project's Transactions tab and check the invoice to reconnect or link them. Let me show you how:

1. Go to the Projects menu and then select the project in question.
2. From the Transactions tab, click the Payment.
3. Go to the Outstanding Transactions section and check the invoice that needs to be paid.
4. Hit Save and close.

You can also run a project report to track your labor costs and profitability in QBO. To do so, go to the Reports menu, scroll down to the Business Overview section, and select the Project Profitability Summary report.

From the transaction tab, it shows that the invoice was paid and the payment was closed. 

Yet, there is still not showing the income.

Log back into your QBO account to verify if the amount is now visible to your income. If so, return to your regular web browser and clear its cache. This helps refresh the webpage and potentially resolve any display issues. You can also choose from various compatible web browsers that work well with QuickBooks Online and give you the best performance.
