eliminating undeposited funds

Hi All-

Looking for some advice/discussion on an issue I've run into, we started using a separate program for all customer and invoicing aspects and to sync this piece of software (Jobber) to QBO seems to be causing issues more than helping us keep the books accurate. I was hoping to stop the sync to QBO and just utilize QBO for bank and credit card transactions and to track long term liabilities etc. I want to stop anything related to customers, invoices, and deposits in QBO. However, I usually present the 3 reports using accrual method to our accountant come tax time. If I eliminate the usage of undeposited funds, what is the best way to classify deposits/customer payments in QBO when I download bank transactions?  I was going to just put as sales revenue but I'm not sure my income statement will be accurate using that method. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Someone else will really need to help you with Jobber, but I don't think you really want to use QBs only for the Banking.  That will basically kill all the reporting and tracking your CPA will want.

As I understand Jobber it is just to sync with QBs Online and not meant as a stand along program.  All the info needs to come back into QBs where some of it is correctly entered and some is left to be modified to be correctly entered into QBs.  For companies with multiple people entering remotely, it sounds like it might be a good fit.  But unless you're big enough to need it and have a full time person managing the syncs, you might consider why you're using it.  Is it the right fit for your company or bells'n whistles.
