Emailing Reports on QB 2019 In Excel Format

Hello,

When I go to the email reports feature and try to email a report in Excel format, I get the following:

"Microsoft Excel could not be opened.  If the problem persists, verify you have the correct version of MS Excel installed on your computer"

I have checked online and it says MS 365 should work with QB 2019.  I have tried various fixes including changing my account settings as advised. Nothing works.  Any suggestions??  Thanks So Much!  Patti B

Hello, PattiB2021.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I’ve got some steps to try to fix the export to Excel issue in QuickBooks Desktop.

To start off, let's update your QuickBooks to the latest release. This will help you download the changes, improvements, and fixes that were made to QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the top, then pick Update QuickBooks Desktop on the drop-down.
  2. Select the Update Now tab, then check the box next to Reset Update.
  3. Click Get Updates

For your reference, you may visit this article: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release

Next, let's run the Verify and Rebuild utility. This tool will fix any errors it can find and notify you of anything that needs to be manually corrected. You can also check out this article for detailed steps: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop

Once done, try to export your report again to Excel. If you're still getting the same results, you can repair QuickBooks Desktop to fix program-related issues or errors.

Please touch base with me if you need further assistance, I'll be here to help you out. Stay safe!

Thanks so much Aileen,

Unfortunately, none of the fixes have worked. I went though each potential fix one by one.

I have uninstalled and re-installed Office, twice now. I have done all updates and rebuild files and fix files.

I have been through the articles and tried everything they suggest.  I am still getting the same message.  If you run across anything else that could help, I appreciate you letting me know.
