Excel Export

I export my job profitability reports to an existing excel workbook as a new worksheet, I always keep the workbook open while exporting the reports. Today quickbooks starting opening the workbook as a read only and adding the new worksheet to the read only workbook instead of adding the sheet to the workbook that is already open.  I can't figure out what has changed that it won't add the sheet to the open workbook as it always has?

Excel Export

Good evening, @Adyn.

 

Do you have an active Excel, Microsoft Office, or Microsoft 365 subscription? If not, this is likely due to an expired subscription or your permissions for Excel have changed. It will stay in Read-Only until you make the program Active or if you get the permissions changed. If the issue persists after reviewing the details of the program, please leave a Reply so we can look further into this behavior.
