Expense category not working in app

I can help you resolve the issue with your expense category so that you can continue working smoothly in your QuickBooks Mobile App, rwbuzzguy.

Upon checking, there's an ongoing investigation where some categories are not displaying as expected when using the QuickBooks Mobile App for iOS.

If you're using iOS, I recommend contacting our support team to have your name added to the affected users and receive emails with updates on the case.

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click (?) Help.
  3. Select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a call back from the next available expert.

On the other hand, if you're using an Android device, let's refresh your data to ensure you have the latest information. Please ensure you're connected to the internet and perform the following steps:

  1. Go to Menu, then tap More Options.
  2. Click Settings and select  Refresh Data.
  3. Tap YES to confirm.

After you've refreshed your data, restart your phone and check if your expense category works. If the issue persists, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the QuickBooks mobile app.

Alternatively, you can access your QBO account through your phone or computer-supported browser and then log in to your QuickBooks Online account via a browser.

Additionally, you can refer to this article to help you generate a transaction from your physical receipts: Upload your receipts to QuickBooks Online.

I'm only a post away if you have questions about your expenses category or any other QuickBooks-related concerns. Have a great day.
