Export chart of accounts with parent account number on subaccounts

In Quickbooks Online, wow can I export my chart of accounts with the parent account number showing as a column on subaccounts?  Is this possible?  Parent or subaccount indicator is not an option for adding columns.

Export chart of accounts with parent account number on subaccounts

After doing some more reading on QB posts, it appears the report output does prefix a subaccount with the parent account name delimited by a semi-colon. While I prefer using numbers to link, the prefix and semicolon can be used to parse and link.  This will have to suffice i presume.

Export chart of accounts with parent account number on subaccounts

Hello there, @getzeroedin.

Yes, you're right. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), its exported report for Chart of Accounts will display the sub-accounts with their parent account names separated by a semi-colon. However, having the parent account numbers show under a separate column next to their sub-accounts is currently not possible.

In the meantime, it's best to convey your feedback to our product engineers. This will enable them to thoroughly review the program and consider making necessary improvements for future updates.

To submit your output, here's how:

  1. Open your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestions and then click on Next.
