Export customer list based on Product

Hello,

I am trying to export a customer detail list based upon a specific product. I've tried to create a report with no success. I'm hoping that someone smarter than me can show me the way.

Date Range 2022-today

Product is "XXX"

Company name

Contact Name

Email address

Mailing Address

Export customer list based on Product

If you are using QuickBooks Online Plus (QBO Plus), you will need to export two separate reports and then combine them to obtain the data. However, if you are using QuickBooks Online Advanced (QBO Advanced), you can run a single customized report for export directly. Below are the detailed steps for each report.

 

For QBO Plus, the first report we should generate is the Customer Contact List, which contains information about your customers. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Reports, then under the Standard report search the report name Customer Contact List.
  2. Click on the Columns to open a pop-up where you can add, remove, and reorder them.
  3. Click on Export to Excel.

Second, we need to search the Sales by Product/ Service Detail Report to obtain the remaining column that needs to be combined with the first report we exported. Let me show you how:

 

  1. Under the Reports tab, select Standard Report.
  2. Search for the Sales by Product/ Service Detail report.2 post.png
  3. Click on Customize and enter the desired report period.post 3.png
  4. Select Change Columns and check the box for the item names you want to show in the report.post 4.png
  5. Click Run Report, then press the Export icon to save the report.

 

Once you have successfully exported both reports, the following step is to merge them carefully to obtain the comprehensive data you require.

 

If you are utilizing QuickBooks Online Advanced, follow the detailed steps outlined below to navigate your tasks effectively:

 

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Under the Standard tab, search for Sales by Product/ Service Detail Report, then switch to Modern view.
  3. Change the desired period, then click Columns.
  4. Select More Columns, then find the columns to add.
  5. Once done, close the tab.
  6. Click More Actions to export the data.
