Hi there, @Deadwood Al.
Let me assist you today in achieving your goal of excluding entries with zero balances from the reports.
In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), not equal to filter is unavailable in reports. What we can do is export your report to remove the entries with zero amounts manually.
What we can do is check first if you have the Advanced Options for customizing reports. However, please know that not all reports have this feature. I'll guide you on how to check this:
- Go to the Reports menu and choose the report you need.
- On the report window, select the Customize Report button.
- In the Display tab, click the Advanced button.
- Select In Use (for Detailed) or Non-zero (for Summary), and tick OK.
- Then, click OK to save the changes.

Otherwise, you can utilize the >= or the From and To filters and enter numbers greater than one. I've provided screenshots below for your visual reference:

Alternatively, you can also export your reports as Excel and exclude entries manually.
I'm adding this article to help you generate them based on your preferences: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
On top of that, this resource can help you save its current customization settings for future use: Create, access, and modify memorized reports.
I'll be around if you need further assistance in managing your reports in QBDT. I'm determined to help you succeed. Take care always.
