Finding costs for job

My boss is looking for a report for how much he spent on just materials and sub contracting work on a job.  Where do I go to get that specific of a report.  He doesn't want any other costs but materials and sub contracting work.  I have looked in the reports menu but the only thing I found remotely close to what he is looking for is the job WIP summary but that has payroll figures in it and I don't want that.

Can someone help me out please?  Thank you

Cheryl

I must be using a different version of QB desktop because I do not have under reports Industry specific. I just went to contractor reports and then to Job Cost details.  Thank you so much for your help.

Finding costs for job

Hi missymarykay55!

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community. Allow me to share some details in getting this job-related report.

QuickBooks Desktop offers job costing reports you can pull up. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Industry Specific, then select Contractor Reports.
  3. Choose Job Costs Detail.

You can also customize it to add or remove information if needed. For your reference, you can check this link on how to track job costs in QuickBooks Desktop: Track job costs in QuickBooks Desktop.

Lastly, I included this article if you need help in running reports of your sales and expenses: Customize customer, job, and sales reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Comment below if you have other concerns like this. Take care!
