Beforehand, can you specify which part you didn't see contractors to select? Any information will help us resolve the issue.

 

If you're referring to the Review recipients and payment totals window, you already gave your contractors online access to their 1099s when you added them to the program, which is why they won't show when filing the 1099. You can check this link for more information: Create and file 1099.

For filing my 1099s, it does not offer an option to select my contractors. What should I do?

My question deals with this part as my contractors all show marked as selected.  However, when going into the later pages of my 1099s, it does not show the contractor, the address, TIN, but only shows the amount.  When I click on edit, it does nothing.  If I proceed to the next steps, it shows the info when I look at the individual forms, but when I go to file, it shows on 101 forms (which I have over 300).  This is at the last step where I am choosing to efile and process payment.  On my transaction detail report that I used to check some things, it showed all the names.  What am I doing wrong?

Since you've already checked that the contractor isn't inactive and performed the troubleshooting steps for missing contractors, I suggest performing browser troubleshooting steps to isolate what's causing the contractor information to not appear while creating your 1099s. Let us start by accessing your account through your browser's Incognito mode and try preparing 1099s again: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N.

 

When the contractor's info reflects correctly, you can to proceed clear your browser's cache. This process will remove and fix specific issues and help the program run optimally. Additionally, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.
