Am I the only one irritated that QuickBooks is forcing users to use the New Enhanced Experience and removing the option to switch back to classic?

I received the following this morning:

"Over the next several months, all reports will be changing to the new enhanced experience, without the option to switch back to classic view."

Far from it. There are several long threads in the forums about the change and how unhappy people are about the loss of functionality and the timing at year end.

Intuit does not care.

Welcome to the Community, @Rob438.

I am aware of the advantages for businesses like yours to have an option to use the classic view. I want QuickBooks Online (QBO) to have this feature as much as you do.

But QBO is unable to show that way. However, I strongly urge you to share your thoughts with our software engineers. They carefully examine customer feedback, especially when determining how to improve QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  3. Type in your suggestion and click Next.

See this article to learn more about personalizing reports in the program: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you require further assistance about using the new enhanced experience in QuickBooks Online. I'm here to help anytime. Have a good one.

If I were paid a nickel for each time I have received this CANNED RESPONSE, I would be very wealthy.

What does that word salad mean?

I think they are saying that Classic View is not sustainable, which suggests MORE updates are coming that will break that stylesheet.

Seriously though, if anyone out there wants to publish a CSS that brings back Classic View there is definitely a market for it.

You're not alone and they do not care at all about us.

A perfect example confirming that Quickbooks does not care and does not even UNDERSTAND their own product is how they constantly time these huge changes right at YEAR END and TAX TIME. It's almost as if Intuit has no idea that a huge section of their userbase needs functionality most of all during those two periods of the year.

Based on the fact that Quickbooks seems so committed making bookkeepers and accountants have to bill more hours than necessary just to develop workarounds for Quickbooks' awful updates each year, I've convinced my biggest employers to move to accounting software that is actually developed for accounting.
