General Journal Entry - No Totals

Hello - We just upgraded to Quickbooks Pro Plus 2024 Desktop.  When I enter General Journal Entries, it no longer totals on the bottom (showing the total for both the Credit and Debit columns)  How can I get this feature back as we used to have it in the older version.  Any help is appreciated!

General Journal Entry - No Totals

Hello there, @UWGC60450

I'd like to share details about the totals option in a journal entry.

Currently, the totals on Journals are only available in the Enterprise and Premier versions. I can see how beneficial it would be for business owners like you to have the totals of debit and credit at the bottom of the journal entry not just in QuickBooks Enterprise and Premier but also in QuickBooks Desktop Pro.

For now, you send a product request about the feature for this feature to be available to our Product Developers. Here's how you can send feedback:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online. Then, click Product Suggestions.
  3. Enter brief details about it.
  4. Click Send Feedback.

Our developers regularly upgrade and introduce new features. I suggest visiting this link to review our product update blogs to stay informed about our latest news and updates.

Additionally, if you need to customize and personalize your report in QuickBooks, you can refer to this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Please don't hesitate to visit us again here if you have any other concerns or further questions about journal entries. Have a great rest of the day.
