Buy now & saveHi,
I ran a General Ledger report, and it shows breakdowns on items like Sales and bank accounts / credit cards, but certain items only show the total instead of a breakdown. For example, Google Ads are placed in Bills and the credit card accounts shows Google Ads. When I scroll down to Advertising, there would be only a grand total without any lines displaying Google Ads.
1) Does anyone know how I can show the breakdown?
2) Is there a way to show the Account Number for the accounts? I turned on Accounts Number in Advanced Settings. It shows in Chart of Accounts, but not the General Ledger.
Thanks

The report's date range must include the transaction date. When you see "Beginning Balance" and a total, that means you have transactions prior to the report's starting date. Change the starting date of the report period to an earlier date. Can't help you with the account numbers, sorry.

A General Ledger (GL) report can show a breakdown of every transaction, but it depends on how the report is customized and how transactions are recorded. I'd be happy to share more specifics on this matter, smbuser01.
If you are not seeing the breakdown for specific transactions, it might be because the transactions were not filtered correctly or there were no transactions on the date range you selected.
Here are the steps to ensure that your GL report includes detailed transaction information for every account number and also includes the breakdown of the transactions.
Just a heads up: you need to choose the classic view to see this filter.

Thanks, but my interface doesn't show Switch to Classic View. I read there was an update on QBO and it disabled the ability to switch back to classic view for some users.
