Generating Report with TIN numbers

Let's see what reports we can use to get the data you need, rose2017.

Currently, we don't have a Transaction List report that can include the TIN of your vendors. However, I have a workaround that might work for you.

We can pull up and customize two reports. Here are the following:

  • Vendor Contact List
  • Transaction List by Vendor

For the Vendor Contact List, we can add the columns where you associate the TIN.

  1. Select Reports on the left menu and search Vendor Contact List.
  2. Click the Customize button and go to the Rows/Columns section.
  3. Click the Change columns and add the Tax ID column header.
You can add other necessary column headers.
  4. Click Run report.

For the Transaction List by Vendor, you can customize the report the way you want it.

We'll just have to export these reports to Excel and combine the data from there. With this process you can assign the TIN per transaction of the vendor. You can ask the assistance of your IT guy in combining the Excel data if needed.

We got your back if you need anything else. Have a great day!

There's no Tax ID column header in the option under Change Column. How can we add it?

Generating Report with TIN numbers

Hello, rose2017.

Thank you for getting back to us. Let's check to see if this was caused by a cache issue. Sometimes, too much cache in your browser can lead to unusual behaviors in QuickBooks. To clear this out, let's do a few basic troubleshooting steps:

  1. Open QuickBooks using a private window for this won't save any data files. Please use these keyboard shortcuts as your reference:
    > For Chrome press Ctrl+Shift+N.
    > For Firefox, press Ctrl+Shift+P.
    > For Safari, hold down Command+Shift+N.
  2. If it works, go back to your main browser and remove your browser's cache. This helps eliminate browsing history.
  3. We also recommend using other supported browsers as an alternative.

Hi,

There's still no Tax ID appears. Also, I have the Customer Contact List but not Vendors. I am using Quickbooks Online.

What are the next steps?

Thanks!
