I have some inventory items set up as groups with several items in that group. Is there a way to just print the one group item on the P&L instead of every line item in that group? My sales lines on my detailed P&L are getting way too long with all the individual items being listed.

The Profit and Loss (P&L) report summarizes your company's revenues, expenses, and profits/losses for a period. It shows a company's ability to generate sales, manage expenses, and create profits. I can see how showing just the group item can help clean up your P&L report. However, QuickBooks doesn't offer the option to display the group item while hiding the individual items. The P&L report details each transaction type, and it doesn't consolidate individual items when collapsed. This is because each item in the group might be associated with different income accounts, making it important for accurate reporting.
