Has anyone had experience setting up invoicing for international (non-US) clients?

Hi t46schell!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Let me assist you with the invoices.

You can send the invoices created in QuickBooks Self-Employed to your non-US clients. However, the invoices default to US dollars.

What I can suggest is you upgrade to QuickBooks Online. This has a multi-currency feature that can help you in managing your customers outside the US. In addition, it has more accounting features that businesses need. Please check this link for the pricing: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.

Also, you can check the steps on how to convert your data from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online through this link: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.

Here's another article you can check: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed. This shows you how to customize your invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed and how to record a payment.

Leave a comment below if you need more help. Take care!

@t46schell

QBSE only supports single currency. You may consider switching to QB Online Essentials or higher plan to enable the multi currency feature.

But if you prefer to keep using QBSE, you may utilize these apps to deal with multi currency transactions.
