Has anyone had success in getting their checking account off hold status? QB froze our account January & no one at QB has been able to help us after hours on the phone.

QB said call Green Dot Bank. Green Dot says it’s up to QB to activate the account again. We had 9 total transactions on the checking account prior to it being put on hold. We don’t understand why they just don’t close our account & send us our funds.

Maybe if you close the account then they will.

I appreciate you coming to the Community with your question about your checking account being on hold. 

 

Our customer support team should be able to tell you why you're account is on hold and how to fix the problem. When requesting for a callback this time, ask to be transferred to the "Risk" department. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Help icon in the top right-hand corner. 
  2. Press the Contact Us button/hyperlink. 
  3. Enter your question and tap Let's talk
  4. Scroll down and pick to Get a callback

 

It's that easy!

LOL! Tried that weeks ago. They closed all access to the account. Why do we have to guess what to do? Why do none of the reps we spoke to know how to escalate the matter to the proper department?

Warning to all QB checking account customers: QB can shut down your account for any reason & they don’t have to tell you why. Eventually (1 year or more) those funds will be turned over to your state government & you will have to file a claim with them to get your money back.
