Yes, I noticed that too. I use the spaces to group similar line items, but now some smart dummy in the dev department thinks I should not have spaces.
The dev department at Intuit seems to think they know more about how businesses operate rather than their customers.

If you're using your new invoicing layout, there isn't currently an ability to add extra blank line items and have them appear on the PDF copy of your document after saving it. You can add extra blank line items, however after you save the invoice, QuickBooks won't include them in the PDF.

I can certainly understand how such an ability could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today. You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

Wow. It seems the new invoices are less than useless. How could Intuit get so very many things wrong, all at once? It's quite astounding!

@ZackE Hey Zack, could you please make sure to emphasize that this is not some new fangled idea that a customer just came up with, IT WAS A BASIC FEATURE COUNTLESS CUSTOMERS USED DAILY THAT QUICKBOOKS ARBITRARILY REMOVED.
This is not a new feature request. It is AN EXISTING FEATURE REINSTATEMENT request.
Just give us the features we had when we signed up for this software!
