Hi there, @Anonymous.
Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I can share some information about creating a bill of lading.
Currently, the option to create a bill of lading within QuickBooks Online is unavailable. However, I know some applications you can integrate with QuickBooks to do this.
Please follow the steps below to look for an application that's best for your business:
You can also visit our online website for more options: QuickBooks Apps.
That should guide you in searching for an application that can help create a bill of lading.
You can reach out to me with additional questions about this or anything concerning QuickBooks Online. I'm always around to help. Have a good one.
Customer Support's reply was absolutely useless. There are ZERO app search results for BOL or Bill of Lading.
Good day @ehong33
Currently, there is no bill of lading app in the Apps Center that can be connected with QuickBooks.
I suggest searching for it outside QuickBooks. If you find an app, you can contact the provider for assistance on how to integrate it with QBO.
If you have other concerns feel free to post here in Community.
Has there been any update to this issue. I need to be able to quickly create BOLs out of Quick Books. (Yes I know how to get a Packing Slip out of QBO but I needs BOL)
Hello @Paulvwoodward,
As mentioned in this thread, there isn't an application integrated with QuickBooks that'll let you create a bill of lading. You can consider checking any app outside of QuickBooks and contact their support for application integration.
I've got you our help articles in case you need some ideas, especially with QuickBooks navigation and daily tasks recording: QBO Self-help.
Please touch base with me here for all of your QuickBooks needs. Always around to help. Thanks for dropping by.
Explore this app for your needs and integrate it with your QBO
Hope it helps.
Ok there is a way, it is not easy or straight forward. First make a invoice, then go into that customer profile. On that said invoice click on far right and look at pulldown menu. Click on "packing slip". It is not a BOL, but it works.
Is there updates on Bill of Lading on QB online?
Hi Greenpeach,
The option to create a bill of lading isn't available. However, I have a workaround that you may want to consider.
We can add a billable expense to reflect the landing cost. Just a heads up, this option is available in QuickBooks Online Plus and QuickBooks Online Advanced versions.
Then, you can follow these steps on how to turn on this option:
Afterward, you're good to add a billable expense. You can check this article for more information: Enter a billable expense.
I'm just around if you still need my help in creating a billable expense.
QUICKBOOKS ONLINE IS USELESS IN SO MANY ASPECTS, NOT WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY. CHEAP SOFTWARE, CHEAP PROGRAMMING, GARBAGE. DESKTOP IS OKAY, BUT THIS ONLINE SOFTWARE IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE, NO CONTROL OVER ANYTHING AND THEY WILL NICKLE AND DIME YOU TO DEATH IN ORDER TO GET THE NEEDED ACCESSIBILITY AND DECENT CONTROLS.
Quickbooks support: before replying, look up the definition of BOL. BOL or Bill of Lading, is not simply a line item on an invoice.
Shall we check back in 2025 for any updates?
I hear your sentiments, @JamaicanMeCrazE. Let me share some details about your concern.
Bill of Landing is a document that transfers ownership of items from sellers to buyers. It's a legal document that serves as confirmation that a freight shipment was delivered.
I understand that this feature is beneficial for your business. However, it is still unavailable. So, we are unable to give you an exact time frame when this feature will be available.
If there's anything I can help you with, let me know in the comment section. I'll be happy to assist you. Take care!
Consider having an additional app to integrate with QBO. Other than Bill of Lading, you can also create Shipper's Letter of Instruction, USMCA Certificate of Origin, Proforma & Commercial Invoice, Packing Declaration, and more.
years later and there is still no bill of ladings. if your in the produce industry this form is crucial. iv tried creating my own form on QBO and entering my own terms but they limit the footer to 400 characters so it would not fit. we need a fix for this or ill be forced to switch back to famous software.
