Hi, I have approximately 750 customers listed by account number, name, and type of client in excel. I would like to inport this data to quickbooks?

Actually...   It looks like the QB Help Team recently posted some info on this.

@Pete_Mc , though you are not wrong, the link you posted is for Desktop.  The tag here is Online.  The import process would be different, would it not?

I am not sure...   But I would HOPE that QBs is consistent in their formats.

So  CSV file for QBD and QBO should be the same.   But I don't have access to a QBO account to test it.

Sure would be nice if they had a test account for us to use... :)

There actually is, for QBO. I have used it to learn specific things.

Yes... but it's only a demo.  I believe all of the changes made while I'm in there are wiped out when I sign out.  So the next time I log in, everything would be set back to the defaults.

So in a situation like this, I could set up some accounts and do a test import and come back with what I think is the answer to the question.  But then if there are follow up questions or if I misunderstood and didn't really test exactly what was asked, I'd have to start over from scratch.

I only have some extra time in spurts between projects.  So it's not worth it to me to reinvent the wheel every time.  So hopefully the QBO people here will jump in and add their take on the issue.

It was quite nice of you to at least try and help figure it out.  :)
