Let me provide insights on how the new invoice format works in QuickBooks Online. I'll also ensure you can easily return to the old interface to create or edit the entry smoothly.
Please know that users who use QuickBooks Plus and Advanced can only have the option to return to the old layout. If you're using the said versions, you can start following the steps below.
- On the left navigational bar, click the +New button.
- Choose Invoice.
- On the top-right corner, click the Old layout button.
- Tap the Switch layout button.
- Enter or select the necessary details, and then the click Leave and submit button.
However, if you're utilizing the Simple Start and Essentials plans, those have been migrated to the new invoice experience with no option to opt out since October 18, 2023. This means the ability to go back to the old experience is no longer available.
