Hiding subaccounts in reports

Hiding subaccounts is possible depending on the kind of report you run, @afathersplaceceo. If you run the Account List report, we'll need to manually select the main account by filtering it. I'll share the full details below.

In the Filter section in the report, select how you want to show your data in the three provided fields. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Filter section in the Account List report.
  2. Click the first field and select Account.
  3.  Pick Equals in the second one.
  4.  in the last field, choose the main accounts you want to show in the report.

If you wish to further modify your reports outside QuickBooks, you can visit this article to learn how: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

You can also contact QuickBooks Live Experts for further assistance in ensuring that your account's reports are prepared professionally.

Feel free to come back here if you have additional questions about hiding subaccounts or any field in your reports. We're willing to help. Take care always.

Hiding subaccounts in reports

Hi,

Do you just need to hide the sub accounts?  You can use the collapse feature.

I wasn't clear enough in my intial post.  I am saving reports with the subaccounts hidden.  Whenever I utilize management reports it expands them.  I was looking for a way to have the subaccounts remain hidden in management reports.  I apologize about my lack of clarity.

Thank you for that additional info, afathersplaceceo.

While there are many ways to customize reports in QuickBooks Online, I recommend submitting feedback for what you've described with the subaccounts. This can be done directly through your account by clicking the Gear icon in the top right corner, then select Feedback.

Please don't hesitate to drop a comment below if you have any other questions. Take care!
