Hit back button while creating invoice

Hi,

I was creating an invoice and accidentally swiped on the trackpad and it caused the browser to back into previous page. My invoice was lost.

Is there a way to restore it or avoid this happening in the future?

Accidents can happen, but I have some tips to help you avoid losing your work in the future, Wieldy.

QuickBooks Online is primarily a session-based web application that requires manually saving transactions such as invoices. It doesn't have a built-in feature to recover unsaved data.

To minimize the risk of losing your work, remember to save frequently. Click the Save or Save and Send buttons while creating or editing an invoice.

Some browsers allow you to enable a warning before back-navigation. It prompts when you try to navigate away from a page with unsaved changes. Check if your browser supports this feature and turn it on for extra safety.

Additionally, consider using a mouse or adjusting your trackpad's sensitivity. It can help reduce accidental swipes or disabling gestures that may cause unintended actions.

Furthermore, I recommend exploring these helpful articles that can assist you in locating transactions smoothly and checking the history of modifications made to invoices. This information can be invaluable for diagnosing any issues you may encounter:

I am glad we could figure out some preventive measures together. Keep in touch if you need any more help.
