How can I create a sales receipt on quick books self employed 2022?

A local client payed in cash and I need to send her a receipt and I just can't figure out how to do that in the Quick Books Self Employed 2022 version - can anybody help with that?

Creating a sales receipt in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) isn't possible.

 

As a way around, you can subscribe to our QuickBooks Online (QBO) which lets you create a sales receipt. What's even more interesting is that you can try it for free for 30 days. This way, you'll get to know its workflow before purchasing it.

 

Once you've logged in to your QBO account, you can follow these easy steps in creating a sales receipt.

 

  1. Go to the + New menu.
  2. Click Sales receipt
  3. Select the customer from the Customer drop-down menu.
  4. Enter the needed details and select Save and send to email the receipt when done.

Thank you for your help, JasroV. I'm getting the impression that I got the wrong QB service, it's very confusing. Besides being able to create sales receipts, what are the biggest differences between the self employed and the one you mentioned?

After I answered you that, I went on to check the different QB services, and all of them are online. So, I'm not sure which one you are suggesting?

QuickBooks Self-Employed and QuickBooks Online are two different versions, connect-simonean.

 

The main difference between the two is that QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is designed for freelancers and independent contractors while QuickBooks Online (QBO) is for small business owners.
