How can i identify sub totals for categories grouped in other business expense And. Car & truck?

Identifying subtotals directly in QuickBooks Self Employed (QBSE) is currently unavailable, ed. Allow me to share insights on monitoring your expenses.

QBSE allows to you create a Profit and Loss (P&L) report that clearly displays your income and expenses. However, filtering report by account or by item is currently unavailable, and can't provide the level of detail or subtotals that you may find in other QuickBooks products. QBSE is tailored for users who prefer a more streamlined, less complicated financial tracking experience.

Please refer to Learn how Schedule C categories appear on reports to know how each category displayed up on your reports in QBSE.

If you use other QuickBooks products like QuickBooks Desktop, you have more options. You can create a Purchase by Item report and filter it to show subtotals for specific accounts. This helps you see your expenses in more detail.

Additionally, I've included this article that may help you in the future.
